Tri Fidget Hand Spinners seem to be the current craze (April 2017). Just look at the Toy Bestsellers at Amazon UK they are everywhere. The great thing about these spinners is that they are cheap – at last a cheap craze. They cost around £2 each so are real pocket money toys.
What are Hand Spinners?
They are marketed as a stress reducer. They have ceramic ball bearings in the middle and allow you to spin them in your hand.
It’s said they are a great toy For Fidgeters, Anxiety, Focusing, ADHD, Autism, Quitting Bad Habits, Staying Awake and also ideal for people trying to quite nail biting, smoking, leg shaking and all type of attention disorder issues.
Although I think they are being ordered by everyone and just being used as a game to see how long you can spin them for. Where the average spin time seems to be from 1 minute to 3 minutes and even 5 minutes.
How do I make it spin?
Hold the spinner in one hand and use the other hand to spin it rapidly using small continuous strikes to keep it spinning indefinitely with practice. Spinners can be spun using one hand only using the fingers of one hand to stop and start spinning.
Are there any other popular stress relievers?
Yes, there are also Fidget Cubes. These are small cubes and quite popular at the moment and an alternative to the tri hand spinners. The fidget cubes usually come with a case and have different things you can do on each side of the cube. These may include buttons, switches, roller balls and rotational clickers. You may find them slightly more money that the tri hand spinners at around £5 each.
